If any errors are found when you run the Data Validations tool, it will provide a quick link to the page or section where you can fix the error. A new line will appear under data section header where there is an error. You can expand or collapse the sub-sections using the show/hide buttons to see what the error is in each section. Click the fix button to be taken directly to the page where the error has been found.

How to Fix an Error
- Click the turn on validation button in the Data Validation section.
- Review the validation sub-sections for any errors that may be found.
- If there are errors listed, click the show button to view the errors.
- Select an error to correct, then click the fix button at the end of that line. Your view will be redirected to the page where the error is located.
- Complete the specified field with the correct information.
- Click the save button at the bottom of the current page to save the correction. Your view will be redirected back to the Proposal Actions page, where the Validation tool will show any remaining errors that have yet to be fixed.
- Correct any other errors in the same way.
- When the Data Validation tool shows no errors in the proposal development document, you are ready to submit the proposal to the Office of Sponsored Programs.
