The Attachments section of the Comments, Notes & Attachments page displays the type of attachment, description, and document associated with an Award document.

Column

Description

Add

The row/column label for selection/entry/addition.

Last Update

The timestamp of the most recent action.

Updated By

The user name of the person who made the last change.

Attachment Type

Required. The type of document attached. Types include:

  • Institutional Commitment Document
  • Institutional Policy Document
  • Other Document
  • Sponsor Document
  • Subaward Document
  • Third Party Document

Description

Required. A description of the document being attached to the Award document. To view a description in its entirety, click the green arrow  icon. A pop-up window appears that displays the complete text.

File Name

The path and filename of the document being attached.

Actions

The view button allows an attached document to be viewed and saved as a pdf file.

Add Attachments

Select the type of document that will be attached from the drop-down drop-down menu menu of options in the Attachment Type field. Provide a description of the file that will be uploaded by clicking within the Description field and entering text as necessary. Click the Browse button, then navigate to and select the desired document from the File Upload field and then click Open. Click the add add button button to add the document as an attachment. The document will appear as a numbered line item below the Add row.

Open/Save Attachments

To view a description in its entirety, click the green arrow green arrow icon icon. A popup window will appear that displays the entire text.  To view and/or save an attachment, click the view view button button. A dialog box should appear prompting users to Open with or Save File. Select the desired option and click OK. The attachment will appear in the default viewing program.
