The Award Type maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values which are stored in database tables. This data serves as reference information that is made available for display and selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs. It is used to identify the type of award instrument your institution receives from a sponsor (for example, a way to distinguish between a Grant, a Contract, and a Cooperative Agreement).
Existing Value Modification: It is okay to modify existing Award Type values, however when feeds to financial systems exist, there may be an impact to consider first. |
