The Expire action allows IRB Administrators to designate the protcool as expired in which the expiration date for the protocol has been passed and no renewals has been received. The IRB Administrator can use the Expire action as precursor to Close action. WVU+kc allows the investigator to renew an expired protocol. Once the action is performed, the protocol's status changes to Expired.
