Notice of Opportunity

 

The Notice of Opportunity maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values which are stored in database tables.  This data serves as reference information that is made available for display and selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs.

Notice of Opportunity is the mechanism used to communicate information about the funding opportunity for this project. Examples include federal solicitations (e.g. RFP, RFA, PA), nonfederal solicitations, unsolicited proposal, verbal request, etc.   Opportunities are the mechanisms used to communicate information about the funding opportunity for this project.  You select Notice of Opportunity types on the Sponsor & Program Information section on the KC Proposal Development e-doc’s Proposal page.

Edit Notice of Opportunity Section

The Edit Notice of Opportunity section of the Notice of Opportunity maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Notice of Opportunity

Required.  Enter the alphanumeric value the system will use to reference and uniquely identify the mechanism used to communicate information about the funding opportunity for this project.

Description

Required.  The familiar way the notice is referred to in speech that uniquely identifies it in as few words as possible.  The mechanism used to communicate information about the funding opportunity for this project. Examples include federal solicitations (for example, RFP, RFA, or PA), nonfederal solicitations, unsolicited proposal, verbal request, etc. Click the add note  icon to view/edit/paste text in a new browser window, then click the continue button to return to the text entry field in the document.
