Data Validation

In the Data Validation section, you can turn on validation by clicking the button in this section. Doing so, will activate the validation tool that will check each and every field on the previous pages of the proposal development document for any mismatches, errors, or absent information. You will see a sub-header for each page of the document, showing whether there are any errors on that page. If errors are found, you can click the fix button to be taken directly to that page and section to make the correction.

Validation Errors

The validation tool will check for procedural errors or information missing from any required fields on all pages of the proposal development form.

Warnings

If there are errors which could cause the system to be unable to process the proposal development document, a warning will appear in this area.

Grants.Gov Errors

The validation tool will check your answer in the questionnaires section regarding whether this is a Grants.gov proposal, and look for a corresponding attachment that is marked as the Grants.gov package. If the package has not been attached, you will see an error here.

Unit Business Rules Errors

Depending on the unit(s) you have named in the proposal request, there may be different requirements for business rules or attached documentation. Any errors that require correction will appear here.
