Country

 

The Country maintenance document is used to maintain the names of countries in the world.  It displays a code for each country, and a description containing the full name of the country.  The contents of each Country Code column in the Lookup screen is underlined to indicate it is a drill-down link that displays a pop-up window that allows you to edit the country information.

Edit Country Section

The Edit Country section of the Country administration maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Field

Description

Country Code

Required.  A unique identifying code assigned to a country.  This is the abbreviation or acronym used to refer to the country (upper cased letters) in the system.

Country Name

Required.  A familiar name of a specific country, this is the full textual name of the country in English.

Country Restricted Indicator

Required.  Check the box to indicate that that the country is restricted. This may have implications for modules where restricted countries may not be used in addresses. Clear the check box if it is not.  Click within the checkbox to select the item.  A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected.  Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item.

Active Indicator

Indicates whether this country code is active or inactive in the KC application. Remove the check mark to deactivate this country code.  Click within the checkbox to select the item.  A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected.  Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item.
