The County maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values which are stored in database tables.  This data serves as reference information that is made available for display and selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs.  It is used to assign specific identifying codes to county names.

Edit Counties Section

The Edit Counties section of the County administration maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Field

Description

Country Code

Required. The country code for the country in which this county is located.  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

County Code

Required. A unique identifying code assigned to this county.

State

Required. The state abbreviation assigned to the state in which a county is located.  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

County Name

Required. The familiar name of this county.

Active Indicator

Indicates whether the county code is active or inactive in the system. Remove the check mark to deactivate this county code.  Click within the checkbox to select the item.  A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected.  Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item.
