Valid Cost Element Rate Type

 

The Valid Cost Element Rate Type maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values which are stored in database tables.  This data serves as reference information that is made available for display and selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs such as Budget.

Edit Valid Cost Element Rate Type Section

The Edit Valid Cost Element Rate Type section of the Valid Cost Element Rate Type maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Description

Cost Element

Required.  The cost element or object code that you are associating with this valid rate type.  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

Rate Class Code

Required.  The numeric value that serves as the abbreviated name to identify this individual rate class.  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

Rate Type Code

Required.  The code for the type of rate that the system applies to specific cost elements (i.e.  fringe benefits, F&A, inflation, etc).  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

Active

Check to make active, clear to deactivate.  Click within the checkbox to select the item.  A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected.  Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item.
