The purpose of the GL View responsibility is to give campus users access to check basic information about their department's accounts. In GL View you can answer questions like:
What is our budget?
What is our balance?
How much have we spent?
How much cash is available in our departmentally-controlled fund?
Has a particular purchase been charged to our account yet?
You can find answers to these questions in a number of different ways; depending on what you want to do with the information, you can look up balances or transactions and produce reports that will display your data at a glance.
